Fairytale of New York

Has anyone ever wanted something so badly it is all they have thought and dreamed about since they were really little?
That's what it's like for me and New York.
I've always wanted to go there ever since my dad came back from his first trip there and showed me the pictures.
The tall buildings, the streets crammed full of people, people socialising - there is always something happening there.



Since then, New York is the one place in the world I want to visit.
The culture of the city really appeals to me.
The writer Tom Wolfe, talking about NYC, has said "Culture just seems to be in the air, like part of the weather".


My dad has said to me since he came back from New York that he'll take me for my 14th birthday, and how quickly has 7 years passed!
My birthday is in six months, so NYC here I come!
